Committees & Organizations

In addition to assisting during worship, we have many groups that aid in the ministry of Faith Lutheran.

Education Committee
The duties of this committee are to provide many opportunities for members young and old to learn the scriptures and the ways of our Lord and to help guide them in their everyday activities.

c1Property Committee
This committee is in charge of keeping Faith Lutheran’s building, building contents and property in good working order.

Stewardship Committee
This committee encourages thankful and regular giving to the Lord’s work and encourages the participation of all members through their giving of time and talent. They also arrange and promote a yearly Stewardship Drive.

Finance Committee
Develops the congregation’s yearly budget, acts as advisors to the Treasurer on investments and accounting procedures and approves payments of all budgeted expenditures.

Outreach Committee
This committee meets monthly to plan and implement activities and programs related to evangelism and social ministry.

Staff Support Committee
The purpose of the Staff Support Committee is to affirm and strengthen the mission efforts of the congregation and the ministry that is performed by the staff. The committee listens to both staff members and congregational members so that there can be a clarifying of expectations and open communication. They also oversee the hiring of the staff, other than the pastor, and for facilitating staff performance reviews.

c2Women of Faith
Women of the ELCA is an organization for all women of Faith Lutheran Church that are looking for fellowship, an opportunity to grow in faith, to support one another and to engage in action. General meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month (Sept. – June), preceded by Bible study. There are also many opportunities to engage in service to the church, our community, and the world, as well as various annual projects.

Quilters
Two active groups meet at the church for quilting. On Mondays at 1 PM quilts are made for Lutheran World Relief. On Wednesdays at 1:30 PM a group meets to hand quilt.

Worship & Music
The Worship & Music committee has the responsibility to coordinate and enrich the worship activities of the church. The pastor and all music staff serve as advisors to the committee.

Membership Committee
Monitors and encourages church attendance and involvement in our congregation’s programs.

c4Memorial Committee
Collects and administers monetary gifts to Faith Lutheran Church that will help carry out the mission of the congregation by accomplishing things that are not included in the budget.

Memorial Garden Committee
This committee provides general oversight of the Memorial Garden and handles arrangements for the engraving of brass plates on the Tree of Life.

Memorial Garden Maintenance Group
Those that enjoy gardening are part of this group. Duties include watering, weeding and general maintenance of the Memorial Garden. Volunteers sign-up for a two week period during the growing season.

Endowment Committee
This committee oversees our Endowment Fund. The purpose of the fund is to enable the further growth of our church, it’s ministries & stewardship opportunities, apart from the general operation of our church. Current gifts & planned gifts are encouraged & accepted to support the mission of the Endowment Fund.
